Mrs. K is just about as inspiring and downright fun as they come. When she contacted me to book her shoot, she told me about all of her hard work training for an Ironman triathlon, and that she was the in the best shape of her life. This tough-as-nails woman did a shoot for herself so she could look back on it and be proud for years to come. We think this IronWOMAN boudoir shoot shows off her hard work and her great shape.
An even better reason to do the shoot had a lot to do with WHY she got into triathlons in the first place. During hair and makeup I learned that Mrs. K was diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) a few years ago and was tired of being depressed and sedentary. So she got up and took control of her life! It’s safe to say she is definitely kicking MS’s ass.
I love the hour and a half I get with my clients during hair and makeup to chat and learn about them. I truly get to know some of the coolest women out there. Mrs. K’s personality definitely clicked with mine and talked about her races, being a small business owner, and life in general. Her fun demeanor made for a super fun shoot as well. She said her only two true requests were to shoot with this t-shirt that said “She believed she could, so she did” (is there a more perfect saying and shirt for her?), and to shoot with her race medals. Race medals are something I’ve never been requested to photograph so I was really excited. The shot of her laying on the floor with the medals sprawled across her chest is one of my favorites this year!
I want them all. I know I’ll regret it if I don’t get every photo.
The evening after our shoot, Mrs. K contacted me and said “Let’s cancel the viewing appointment. I want them all. I know I’ll regret it if I don’t get every photo.” It meant the world to me that she was so over the moon with her session, and felt like a sexy, confident, hot mama.
Posting Mrs. K’s photos is a huge honor and I’m so grateful to be able to share her story. She is beating MS every day and taking life by the cohones! Get it lady!!
